Using your audio interface software engage the real-time input monitoring.
Of course when you Mute the channel is muted so to monitor that you can do it 3 ways (depending on which model you have). This mutes the mixer track and directs the audio to the ALT output > Audio Interface > DAW. ALT outputs go to the Ins of my audio interface which you engage by pressing MUTE on the mixer.
